Description

Black Phantom is a beautiful medium size Bucephalandra. The leaves of this subtype can change from a dark green towards a purple. Underwater it tends to go more to the darker green shades. The hue intensity depends on the quality of the lighting.

The edges of the leaves get a stronger wavy shape when grown submerged, with a strongly defined midrib. The rest of the leaf remains pretty much straight.

Bucephalandra Black Phantom is a perfect species for beginners at keeping Bucephalandra. It’s not highly demanding, and it is not the slowest grower in the species. As with all Bucephalandra species, Co2 injection is not required, but will help increase the growing speed.
