Submerse it tends to go more to the darkest green shades up to almost a blackish green. In addition this species can get beautiful little leaves in multiple shades of purple. The hue intensity depends on the quality of the lighting.

Black Tears is a beautiful small size Bucephalandra. Emerse the leaves of this subtype can differ from a dark green towards a blackish green. Submerse it tends to go more to the darkest green shades up to almost a blackish green. In addition this species can get beautiful little leaves in multiple shades of purple. The hue intensity depends on the quality of the lighting.

The leaves of the plant get a more oval shape when grown submerged, with a strongly defined midrib.

Bucephalandra Black Tears is a perfect species for beginners at keeping Bucephalandra. It’s not highly demanding, and it is not the slowest grower in the species. As with all Bucephalandra species, Co2 injection is not required, but will help increase the growing speed.
