Kapit Sulatan ‘Red’ is a beautiful medium size Bucephalandra. The leaves of this subtype can change from a green towards a reddish purple. Underwater it tends to go more to the darker purple/red shades. The hue intensity depends on the quality of the lighting.
The leaves of the plant lose their wavy shape when grown submerged, but retain their strongly defined midrib.
Bucephalandra Kapit Sulatan ‘Red’ is a perfect species for beginners at keeping Bucephalandra. It’s not highly demanding, and it is not the slowest grower in the species. As with all Bucephalandra species, Co2 injection is not required, but will help increase the growing speed.
