Pinoh is a beautiful medium to large size Bucephalandra with a bluish/purple glow underwater. The hue intensity depends on the quality of the lighting. However, depending on the version, the new leaves can differ quite a bit. Some keep their leaves dark green, while there are some with almost blackish leaves. The darker versions can also grow red leaves.
The leaves of the plant get a stronger oval shape when grown submerged, with a strongly defined midrib as well as clearly visible veins.
Bucephalandra Pinoh is a perfect species for beginners at keeping Bucephalandra. It’s not highly demanding, and it is not the slowest grower of the species. As with all Bucephalandra species, Co2 injection is not required, but will help increase the growing speed.
